Leading Spanish rug company, nanimarquina, invited me to interview British designer Ilse Crawford, company founder Nani Marquina and her daughter and Managing Director, Maria Piera Marquina on the subject of wellbeing. This was the first talk as part of their 3-part Woven Talks series.

Event: ‘Designing for humanity’ virtual talk at Dubai Design Week 2020
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the talks programme of Dubai’s design trade fair Downtown Design took place virtually. I was invited to contribute to this international session, titled ‘Designing for humanity’. The talk was broadcast as part of a series during Dubai Design Week (9-14 November 2020).

Commissioned by designer and guest editor Fran Hickman for her special design issue of ES magazine (published by London’s Evening Standard newspaper), I interviewed 8 of London’s visionary creatives about their experiences of the Covid-19 lockdown and asked them what they’d like to see change when restrictions are lifted. Each contributor was captured in their home by talented photographer Mark Cocksedge.
