To see in the new year, I’ve written an article proposing some of the changes I expect to see in the design industries in 2024. These include the rise in material intelligence, growing appreciation of aesthetic imperfection, and a rush for sustainable accreditation.
In partnership with the charity Life Project 4 Youth (LP4Y), I will be hosting a panel discussion exploring the charity’s work as well as discussing the impact of art and architecture on shaping our environment. I will be joined by architect and co-founder of Black Females in Architecture Selasi Setufe, poet and installation artist LionHeart, and co-founder of LP4Y Laure Delaporte.
The event will take place at Cromwell Place, 4 Cromwell Place, London SW7 2JE from 6:30pm on 16th November 2023.
The talk is free to attend.
Update: The talk is available to listen to here
I reflect on the 2023 edition of the London Design Festival, touted by organisers as a full revival of the UK’s biggest design festival post-Covid.
